British War Cemetery

Maintained by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defense, the British War Cemetery is one of the six Commonwealth war cemeteries in Sri Lanka. It celebrates the lives of the soldiers of the British Empire who died during World War II.

As a serene and well-maintained location, the British War Cemetery also houses graves of Dutch, French, Italian, and other forces.
