Boat Ride to Pigeon Island

Located approximately 1 Kilometer off the coast of Nilaveli, Pigeon island is an internationally recognised biosphere that is home to numerous marine and avian creatures. True to its name, the island supports a large population of rock pigeons surrounded by some of Sri Lanka’s undisputed coral ecosystem that nurtures a vibrant array of reef fish, crustaceans, and molluscs.
